Bio

Greetings

I am Imran Qureshi, My two children have been part of the WOSC for the last 10 years ,I have

been involved in Wee Warriors, Representative, OPDL and Showcase soccer now giving me

knowledge in most level of soccer in Ontario , I have been managing my 12 years old son’s

team for the last 5 years and recently have organized a trip for the 2012 Boys to go tour UK

from October16 – 25 2025 .

I have been looking at ways to give back to community and realize that joining the board at

WOSC will be a great opportunity to support the community, I would love to work with the other

board members and the operations to make the club even more of a positive place to grow the

sport , few things I would like to see succeed more are Girls and Regional program at all levels.

On personal level I work as a Field Service Engineer for a Pharma company for the last 23

years managing some key accounts. Year and half back my family went through something

personal and WOSC community rallied around my family and showed great support. I am

hoping to work with the community and make the club become more successful for all.

Thanks

Chris Gill

Bio

My name is Chris Gill and I am a life long soccer player.  Growing up in New Brunswick, I began playing soccer at 5 years old and never looked back.  As a youth I played for the Fredericton District Soccer Association’s representative teams winning many Provincial, Atlantic, and International Competition titles.  I represented Team New Brunswick as a player and completed my competitive playing career as a 4-year member of the University of New Brunswick Varsity Reds Men’s Soccer team, and I am still an active alumnus with the program.

I moved to Ottawa in 2003 and have played and coached at varying levels of competitiveness.  At 47 years old I am happy to say I still play 1-2 times per week.  I joined WOSC in 2013 as an adult player and I now have two daughters (Emma and Olivia) playing with the club.  I am also the current Team Manger for the WOSC G2011 OPDL and WOSC G2015 Skill Center teams.

I have worked for TD Bank for 21 years and in my current role as a Business Management Specialist, I am responsible for project portfolio management, strategic planning, project management, and business target operating model for the Customer Assistance business.

I have a passion for soccer and it’s continued development at the grassroots, provincial, professional, and national level.  Being a life long soccer player, WOSC’s philosophy to create soccer players for life aligns with my values and perspectives on how soccer can continue to develop in our community and beyond.

I am very excited and grateful for the opportunity to use my passion for soccer and my business acumen to support this board, and help guide the direction, maturity, and continued success of the West Ottawa Soccer Club.

Go Warriors Go!

Nick Covelli

Bio

I am the Vice-Chair of the WOSC Board. I have been on the Board for 4 years. One of my children played at WOSC for several years. I used to play and coach soccer. My family and I reside in the West Ottawa community.

I am a career public servant, currently serving as the chief operating officer of a small government department in the Justice portfolio. I manage over 500 professionals and a budget of $60 million. I have been an executive for 13 years and a lawyer for 22 years. I have also worked as a management consultant for a major multinational corporation. I have many years of professional experience as a member or chair of executive committees, dealing with a wide range of governance matters.

If re-elected to the WOSC Board, I would continue to prioritize the recruitment of a new general manager, building a culture of excellence, improving communication to players and parents, improving recruitment and retention of female players, and completing the player pathway by obtaining a League1 licence.

WOSC is a good club, but I want to help it become a great club.

I am excited to seek re-election to the West Ottawa Soccer Club (WOSC) Board of Directors to continue contributing in this capacity. Over the past year, I have been honoured to serve on the board, providing strategic insight and support.

I am currently a Senior HR Lead at a software development company based in Kanata, ON. My professional background enables me to provide advisory support on hiring, policies, DEIB, employee and member experience, workplace engagement and other related matters. I actively collaborate with the Board, contributing to discussions, providing updates, and offering insights.

Beyond my professional experience, I have a deep passion for soccer, having played the sport and developed a strong appreciation for teamwork, discipline, and community building. I am known for being a team player—driven, ambitious, and committed to achieving excellence in every aspect of work I engage with.

In just the past year on the Board, I have been actively involved in discussions that have driven positive change and progress in key areas. I look forward to the opportunity to continue discussing and advising on key initiatives that will strengthen our club’s culture and long-term success.
