I am a very athletic and outgoing person, I love being involved anyway I can and I love cats.

What made you want to join the Warrior Council?

I wanted to join the Warrior Council because I wanted to help make a difference at the club and help improve the services offered to players, especially since the pandemic.

What is the one piece of advice you would give future Warrior Councils?

For future Warrior Councils, I would say to stick to your objective. Whether it be improving services towards the players or helping coaches be more aware of situations, make sure you work towards your goal. Eventually, all the little things will add up to make a bigger difference.

How did the Council change/develop you this year and how will that help you in the future?

I got to discover what I really look for in a club and it helped me realize that no matter how old I am or how small I might feel, I can always make a difference with my words and my actions. I am a more confident person and I learned that I enjoy organizing big events planning with a team. I think as someone who would like to go forth and help people in the future, I can really implement the things I’ve learned from being apart of the Council to improve my community and prioritize the things that matter most to me.

I play JUEL Prep basketball, I’m vegetarian and I go to Earl of March secondary school

What initiative are you most proud of that the Council did?

I’m most proud of our Bell Let’s Talk day campaign . Mental health in athletes is very important and our campaign helped spread awareness.

If you could describe the Council in one word, what would it be?

Exciting

Someone should join the council if they want to make WOSC a better community and learn new skills

What made you want to join the Warrior Council?

Joining the Warrior Council seemed like an amazing opportunity to make a positive impact WOSC and work with a wonderful team that wants to do the same

If you could describe the Council in one word, what would it be?

IMPACTFULL

What is the one piece of advice you would give future Warrior Councils?

Speak your mind, the council is built on comments and suggestions from the players point of view, so always always speak your mind, and don’t hold back

How did the Council change/develop you this year and how will that help you in the future?

Made me understand how large organizations like WOSC work, and helped me understand how big decisions are made within these organizations, in a bugger picture, helps you understand the world around you a little bit better

Why join the Warrior Council?

If you’re someone who is a leader or wants to give back to the club this is perfect for you. You get to do so many fun things while making the club a better place to be and play soccer. I also made some great friends who the council, the group you get to work with is so much fun.

If you could describe the Council in one word, what would it be?

Amazing.

What is the one piece of advice you would give future Warrior Councils?

Enjoy it and have fun.

How did the Council change/develop you this year and how will that help you in the future?

When I first heard about the council, I didn’t think we would do much. Now we are coming to an end, and we have done so much. Things behind the scenes and things everyone could see. We created so much change in the club. This council has taught me so many things that I will use in the future. Things like, organizing and running events, planning how to initiate a new idea.

Three facts that would help someone get to know me better is that I have played soccer for about 12 years now, My favorite team is Liverpool, I enjoy traveling

What made you want to join the Warrior Council?

I wanted to join the warrior council as I wanted to help players have a more positive experience within the club. I also wanted to be a part of something bigger in the club and view it from a different perspective than just a player.

What initiative are you most proud of that the Council did and why?

I am mostly proud of the warrior mentality initiative since it was nice to introduce it to the players at a young age in order to create a more positive and welcoming environment within WOSC.

Why join the Warrior Council?

In my opinion I think every player should join the council if they get the chance because it is a great way to meet new people, you see the club from a different perspective and you are able to make changes within the club that you see would benefit it.

I was born in Canada, but my ethnicity is Nigerian and Jamaican. My favourite food is mango or dried mango. And my favourite season is winter.

What made you want to join the Warrior Council?

Well, I have been a West Ottawa soccer club member since the age of nine. And at the time the opportunity to join the council came, I thought to myself, I have played with the club for so many years, but what have I done to give back to the club that’s given me so much; memorable experiences with soccer throughout my childhood; the hours spent perfecting my craft through blood, sweat and tears; the character developed; and most of all, the lifelong relationships with coaches and players that will impact my life for years to come.

What is the one piece of advice you would give future Warrior Councils?

You won’t know you like it till you try it. It will push you out of your comfort zone all the time, but if you’re not uncomfortable, you won’t grow.

How did the Council change/develop you this year and how will that help you in the future?

The council changed me drastically by pushing me out of my comfort zone every moment. This will help me in the future when I find myself in fear of being uncomfortable. I will think back to the day I joined the council and thought how I’m gonna do this. I know the way I can do this and here I am now. Without risk, there is no reward, and without being uncomfortable, you can’t spark change.
