West Ottawa Soccer Club (WOSC) is now accepting nominations for its Board of Directors, inviting members of the community to help guide the next chapter of Ottawa’s largest and most inclusive soccer club.
WOSC says it is entering an important phase focused on modernization—strengthening governance, rebuilding competitive pathways, and expanding community engagement. The club is seeking leaders who demonstrate sound judgment, professional expertise, and a shared belief in soccer’s ability to build character and strengthen community.
Skills and Experience Sought
The Governance & Nominations Committee is looking to broaden the Board’s professional expertise while ensuring it reflects the diversity of WOSC’s membership and the wider community.
While all skillsets are welcome, WOSC says it is especially interested this year in candidates with senior governance or executive leadership experience. Relevant backgrounds may include:
- Governance and board leadership (public, private, or non-profit)
- Finance and audit oversight
- Legal, compliance, or risk management
- Marketing, sponsorship, or community partnerships
- Sport management or youth development
- Equity, diversity, and inclusion leadership
How to Apply
Interested applicants are asked to submit the following to the Governance & Nominations Committee by January 30, 2026 at 5:00 p.m.:
- A brief letter of interest (max 1 page) outlining background and motivation to serve
- A résumé highlighting relevant leadership, governance, or community experience
- The nomination form (available HERE)

WOSC notes that applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis as they are received. The Governance & Nominations Committee will vet applicants and prepare a recommended slate of candidates for Board review in February 2026.
