ALL players who wish to be considered for the Academy program must register AND attend the Open Observation Sessions (formerly Open ID). Registration will open on August 18th at 12pm.
Open Observation Sessions will take place mid-late September.
The Academy program is the highest level of play for a U12 player at WOSC:

This high-performance program consists of; 3 weekly training sessions on TURF + a game.
Session breakdown:
- 2 x 75 mins
- 1 x 90 mins
- All on TURF
Training sessions will take place at the Mega Dome or Thunderbird Domes.
Confirmed schedules will be added to the academy page of the WOSC website and selected families will receive an email.
Those who are not identified for the U12 Academy program, may be offered placement into the U12 regional or district program. Click here to find more details about the U12 regional/district programs.
Apparel
- Uniform/Club Gear package must be purchased at an additional cost. All academy players are required to purchase the PUMA kit. Those who already have the items are not required to purchase the kit again.
- Beginning with the summer 2025 Comp programs, the red training jersey is no longer needed. Players will only be required to have the black training jersey.
Each family is responsible for ordering the jersey numbers as indicated by the club. For any incorrect jersey numbers, West Ottawa Soccer is not responsible for replacing the jersey(s).

Program Length
Unless otherwise noted, winter academy programs will begin early October and continue until mid-late February with a break around the holidays. Exact details will be communicated at the beginning of the program.

Coaches, field locations, and time slots for all programs are subject to change.
Club registration fees do not cover the costs associated with festivals or tournaments that teams decide to enter.
All academy players will be charged a performance programs development fee and 100% of the funds are reinvested into the program to benefit players, coaches and the overall training environment.
