WEST OTTAWA SOCCER CLUB ENTERS LS PRO: A NEW ERA BEGINS
West Ottawa Soccer Club (WOSC) is proud to announce that we are officially entering the LS PRO system for the 2026 season. This marks an exciting new chapter in our club’s
history. For the first time ever, WOSC will compete at the senior competitive level in Ligue 3 Québec (L3) as the team embarks on its inaugural season.
This return to the semi-pro landscape comes after several years away from Ontario’s League1 system, where WOSC previously competed before transitioning out. Rejoining high level senior competition through LS PRO represents a renewed commitment to offering meaningful and ambitious pathways for our athletes but this time with a structure that aligns closely with our long-term goals and community-centered vision.
LS PRO offers a structured, competitive senior-soccer platform across Ontario and Québec, giving clubs and players genuine opportunities to grow, compete, and elevate their game. By entering L3, WOSC is taking an important step forward in solidifying a complete player pathway, one that keeps dreams local and opportunities accessible.
This milestone ensures that players, from grassroots to high performance, can aspire to something bigger within their own club. It connects ambition with opportunity, effort with possibility, and talent with a future built right here in West Ottawa.
A VISION YEARS IN THE MAKING
WOSC’s Board of Directors has long envisioned a club where every player can feel challenged, supported, and inspired to become the best version of themselves. Securing an LS PRO team brings that vision to life and completes a piece of the development pyramid we have been working toward.
“I am delighted that we will provide our players with a pathway to semi-pro soccer within our club. This has been a priority for me and for the Board of Directors because it will provide our girls and boys with
opportunities at the next level, which is where this club belongs. I want to say a special thank-you to Stephen O’Kane and Jessie Burgins for leading the bid so successfully. Go Warriors!”
— Nick Covelli, President, West Ottawa Soccer Club
This achievement reflects the combined effort, belief, and passion of countless people behind the scenes, including those who helped guide the bid and champion the return of senior-level play to West Ottawa.
“I am ecstatic that our club has been able to secure a team at this level of play. WOSC is a huge club and deserves a team at this level to complete its player pyramid. We’ve shown we can produce top male and female players and now they have a top team to aspire to. I’m proud to have helped make this happen.”
— Stephen O’Kane
Our Technical Director emphasizes the developmental impact this move will have across the entire club.
“This is a major milestone for WOSC and a huge step forward for player development in our region. Having an LS PRO team allows our players to dream bigger, compete harder, and stay connected to a club that believes in their potential. This will elevate training standards, inspire our young athletes, and enrich our culture from top to bottom.”
— Kwame Telemaque, Technical Director, West Ottawa Soccer Club
A NEW STANDARD FOR WEST OTTAWA SOCCER
Entering Ligue 3 Québec is not simply about competing at a higher level, it is about shaping identity, pushing
boundaries, and giving our community something powerful to rally behind. After previously competing in Ontario’s League1 structure, WOSC’s re-entry into senior competition through LS PRO symbolizes both progression and reinvention.
This team will become a symbol of what WOSC strives to be:
A home for talent
A pathway for ambition
A club where players of all levels feel connected to something larger
A place where dreams are nurtured, supported, and realized
The sleeping giant is waking and West Ottawa Soccer is ready to take its place on a bigger stage.
THE JOURNEY STARTS NOW
A new era kicks off this summer, and we cannot wait to share the next steps with our players, families, and supporters. From tryout information to staff announcements, schedules, and branding, more updates will be released in the coming months.
WOSC is entering LS PRO. Ligue 3 awaits.
And this is only the beginning.
A MESSAGE FROM CLUB LEADERSHIP
“Bringing an LS PRO team to West Ottawa represents exactly what this club stands for: opportunity, ambition, and community. Our players deserve a clear and inspiring pathway, and this move ensures that every athlete, from recreational to high-performance can see a future here. This is just the beginning. We are building something special for today’s players and for the next generation.”
— Jessie Burgins, Executive Director, West Ottawa Soccer Club
