We’re excited to introduce the Gridiron Academy Soccer Speed Program to the West Ottawa Soccer Club, designed specifically to help young athletes build speed, strength, and agility.
The program integrates the latest training methodologies to enhance sprint mechanics, explosiveness, and sport-specific performance, giving athletes a competitive edge to each athlete within their team environment.

About Gridiron Academy
Founded in 2007, Gridiron Academy is dedicated to empowering youth and strengthening communities through a holistic approach that combines athletic training, academic support, mental health education, and recruitment guidance. Their mission is to develop well-rounded individuals both on and off the field.
Over the years, their programming has helped numerous athletes secure NCAA scholarships and pursue professional careers in the CFL, NFL, MLB, and NLL. To date, they’ve proudly supported over 45 NCAA athletes across football, baseball, and lacrosse.

Currently, they have 15 football athletes competing at the collegiate level in the US, with 3 projected NFL draft picks in the upcoming April draft. Additionally, over 30 athletes are representing Gridiron at the U Sports level this fall.
Hockey Development
For the past three years, they have proudly trained athletes from Ottawa JR 67 AAA and Eastern Ontario Wild AAA, many of whom are on track to be drafted into junior hockey programs.

The Founder and Program Director, Victor Tedondo, has been featured in major media outlets such as ESPN, TSN, The Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, and Miami Herald. In 2019, he was honored with the City of Ottawa’s Brian Kilrea Award for Excellence in Coaching, becoming the youngest recipient in the award’s history.
This program is something new to the WOSC community and the goal is to build on creating superior athletes who could then enhance their game on the field. Please act fast as there are limited spots available in this program!
